  LAKE STRING ACADEMY  

Students begin private and group lessons January 14th.  Come to our COMMUNITY MEETING Monday, January 28 4 PM @ Christ the King Church, 1700 Bagnell Dam Blvd.  Meet Carol Harrison, Instructor, and Jerry Field, expert violin maker and source for violin ,   Meein rentals & purchase, other accessories.  Carol will demonstrate her skills and teaching styles.  Jerry will share the how-to's of making and repairing premier violins.      Opportunity to sign up & schedule lessons at the meeting or  CALL 573-365-1605, e-mail info@symphonyofthelake.com.

2013  CONCERT SCHEDULE

       Designed to help us enjoy symphony music (traditional and  contemporary) .        The Lake area's own musicians are joined by collaborating musicians and visiting musician  groups, including : academies, community orchestras, college & other school groups, & civic symphonic musicians.

       Program includes CONTEMPORARY FAVORITES Carmen, Pirates of the Caribbean,  The Prayer (vocal & dance accompaniment),  Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera & more.)

              Sunday, October 20     3 :00 PM School of the Osage High School,                                             as we plan for the 1st annual  Mid-MO All-District/All State Orchestra Competition                                  50 students expected from 5-6 school districts -- will join our October Symphony concert.
